A Calenzano nei dintorni di Firenze attorno ai primi mesi del 1977, due psicologi, Rodolfo Fiesoli e Luigi Goffredi, fondarono una comunità che si componeva di 33 membri, e la insediarono a Farneto, in Toscana.
Sempre nello stesso anno, verso l’autunno, questo centro venne dirottato verso un’altra sede, a Barberino del Mugello e prese il nome di “FORTETO”. Il trasloco non si fermò e proseguì verso l’attuale sede di Vicchio. Fu acquistata una grande fattoria correlata di un terreno per 500 ettari. Qui questo immenso carrozzone, munito di persone mezzi, terreno e autorizzazioni, diventò una cooperativa agricola (affiliata a Legacoop e alla Confcooperative), rimanendo pur sempre e principalmente “Centro d’affido per minori in difficoltà”.
Il 29 novembre 1978 i due psicologi, “Fiesoli e Goffredi”, vennero arrestati con l’accusa di abusi sessuali e atti osceni, a danno dei minori ospiti di quella struttura. Ma come tutte le storie a “lieto fine in Italia, per i delinquenti”.. i due furono scarcerati nel giugno del 1979. Fortunatamente i giudici della Corte d’appello di Firenze ebbero la consapevolezza e soprattutto le prove per una condanna definitiva, in fondo il reato a loro contestato era gravissimo, e convalidarono la condanna a due anni di carcere.
Anche la Corte di Cassazione confermò il verdetto. Questo non servì a frenare l’attività del “Forteto”, infatti l’affido dei minori a quella comunità da parte del Tribunale dei minori di Firenze, continuò indiscussa per circa 30 anni con l’affidamento di 86 bambini. La Corte europea dei diritti dell’uomo, nel luglio del 2000, condannò lo Stato italiano a pagare un risarcimento ad una donna madre, a cui fu impedito di vedere i due figli, affidati al Forteto dal Tribunale dei minori di Firenze. Come ben si sa, da antichi proverbi o da fiabe anche recenti “Il lupo perde il pelo ma non il vizio”, e nel 2011 Fiesoli ricevette nuove accuse sempre per i vecchi reati, che coinvolsero anche Goffredi e altri 22 “MEMBRI”della comunità a vario titolo, ma sempre con la solida base dei maltrattamenti. Il primo passò ben tre giorni agli arresti domiciliari. Nel gennaio 2013 una commissione d’inchiesta fu istituita dalla Regione Toscana e Stefano Mugnai (del PDL) approvò una relazione durissima su “Forteto”dichiarandola “Una setta al cui interno gli abusi sessuali, psicologici e affettivi sui minori, rappresentavano la consuetudine”. Trasmise gli atti alla Procura di Firenze. Fiesoli nel 2015 venne condannato a 17 anni e sei mesi di reclusione, Goffredi a otto anni; entrambi restando però a piede libero. Altri 14 coimputati ricevettero condanne meno pesanti (meno pesanti di così? A piede libero?).
C’erano già state delle gravi sentenze contro gli amministratori del Forteto, ma il tribunale continuò ad affidare i bambini a questa “associazione per delinquere” e alle cosiddette famiglie interne a quella comunità. Le innumerevoli inchieste, di tutti questi anni, hanno accertato responsabilità gravissime, anche soggettive, con nomi e cognomi di magistrati che hanno fatto le assegnazioni e che non hanno controllato come avrebbero dovuto. Esistono responsabilità ideologiche, è stato fatto credere ciò che non è mai stato. Responsabilità pesanti, coinvolgerebbero anche i servizi socio-sanitari che non hanno ottemperato l’obbligo delle verifiche, mai riferite al tribunale, fatte in modo assolutamente sommario e inadeguato. E la politica del centro sinistra locale? Dovrebbe fare un “mea culpa “molto profondo. Al Forteto personaggi politici noti, passati tra quei vigneti, hanno contribuito a costruire e soprattutto accreditare, una immagine idilliaca di quella “Facenda del Mulino Bianco”, del tutto falsa e aberrante. Non sono esclusi da colpe neppure sindacati e cooperatori, che hanno tenuto lo sguardo orientato esclusivamente sulle tutele dell’attività economica Fiorentina.
Stefano Mugnai (Fi) ha definito Forteto come: “Il sonno della democrazia, dell’attenzione dell’opinione pubblica e soprattutto delle istituzioni di fronte a un abominio che avveniva sotto gli occhi di tutti,alle porte di Firenze, mentre questo “lager ” veniva raccontato come un’eccellenza toscana”. l quel luogo è accaduto di tutto, nei confronti dei minori ospiti , che avrebbero dovuto ottenere protezione e aiuto dallo Stato. Nascosto dalla vicenda del Forteto non c’è solo un caso di criminalità perpetrata per anni da Barbablù locali, ma l’espressione di una filosofia di distruzione della legalità, nulla potrà mai giustificare atti di pedofilia e violenza su minori, e certamente il Pd ha cercato di insabbiare o lenire le colpe delle istituzioni locali. Il partito non ne esce certamente con una immagine innocente. Mentre Papa Francesco ha inaugurato un nuovo stile, con spirito di trasparenza e severità sui preti pedofili, l’altra “Cappella del Pd ” di fronte a questa barbarie, non ha voluto almeno per ora, scoperchiare i sarcofagi dell’oltraggio istituzionale, dunque fumata nera sui colli Toscani.
