Il premio in gettoni è un meccanismo consolidato dal 1955 (a partire dalla trasmissione Lascia o Raddoppia), utilizzato al posto del denaro contante per non violare la legge sul gioco d’azzardo. Report seguendo la traccia dell’oro ha anche scoperto che il fornitore esclusivo della Zecca è Banca Etruria, dalla quale ha acquistato 11 milioni di euro in lingotti d’oro per coniare i gettoni della Rai.
